Pellegrino Services is led by a highly experienced executive and technical team with strong experience across residential and commercial construction, including medium-density developments and apartment projects of up to eight storeys.

Our integrated leadership structure brings together construction delivery, structural engineering, financial governance and emerging smart building technology to ensure every project is delivered with technical precision, commercial control and build quality from concept through to completion.

Executive Team

Michael Wang

Managing Director | Operations Director

Michael Wong has been instrumental in driving the strategic growth of Pellegrino Services. With over 15 years of construction industry experience, he has developed a strong network of trusted contractors, consultants and suppliers across South Australia.

Michael oversees project delivery from initial feasibility through to completion, ensuring every build aligns with client expectations and budget requirements. He works directly with clients and stakeholders on project scope, feasibility and pricing, and remains closely involved across all stages of delivery.

Under his leadership, Pellegrino Services has successfully delivered projects ranging from bespoke residential builds through to multi-million-dollar commercial and multi-residential developments valued up to $26 million.

Michael is also leading the company’s implementation of ISO-aligned systems, including ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (WHS), reinforcing the company’s commitment to structured, high-standard project delivery.

Colin Chen

Associate Director | Senior Structural Engineer

Colin Chen holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Adelaide and joined Pellegrino Services in 2018. He is now Associate Director and Senior Structural Engineer, leading the company’s structural engineering capability across residential, commercial and multi-storey projects.

Colin oversees structural design and engineering coordination across a wide range of building systems including steel, reinforced concrete, precast and tilt-up construction, timber and masonry. His experience spans residential dwellings, commercial buildings and multi-storey developments, with a strong focus on constructability and structural integrity.

He also brings specialist expertise in traditional timber construction methods, including mortise and tenon joinery used in high-tension timber structures and heritage Chinese architectural systems.

Mary Ma

Chief Financial Officer

Mary Ma holds a double degree in Commercial Law and Accounting from the University of Adelaide and spent six years with Deloitte Australia before joining Pellegrino Services in 2017.

As Chief Financial Officer, Mary oversees financial management, risk control, reporting and tax planning. She ensures the company maintains strong financial governance and commercial stability across all residential, commercial and multi-residential projects.

Her role is central to maintaining financial transparency, cost control and long-term business sustainability.

Momir Popovich

Senior Site Supervisor

Momir Popovich brings over 40 years of construction experience across residential and commercial projects. Having worked with leading builders including Sarah Constructions, Commercial & General, and McMahon Services, he provides deep expertise in site supervision and construction delivery.

Momir oversees site execution with a strong focus on quality, safety and workmanship standards, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with design intent and compliance requirements.

Peter King

Construction Manager

Peter King is an experienced construction leader with over 20 years in the industry. He has extensive expertise in contract management, planning, scheduling and onsite safety across complex builds.

Peter plays a key role in coordinating contractors and delivery teams across residential, commercial and multi-residential projects, ensuring program alignment, safety compliance and quality outcomes across all stages of construction.

Peter Xiao Xu Zhao

Structural Engineer | Project Engineer

Peter Xiao Xu Zhao holds a Bachelor of Structural Engineering from the University of Adelaide, following earlier studies in building and construction at Tongji University in Shanghai, where he specialised in traditional structural systems.

He brings strong technical capability in sustainable construction methods, structural engineering design and ISO 9001:2015 quality systems. Peter is highly skilled in problem-solving and structural coordination across complex building environments.

Xu Zhao

Smart Home & Building Technology Consultant

Xu Zhao specialises in integrating smart home and building automation systems into high-end residential and multi-residential developments.

He delivers tailored solutions including intelligent lighting, climate control, security systems and integrated entertainment technologies. Xu ensures smart systems are seamlessly incorporated into architectural design and building functionality, enhancing both usability and modern living standards.
